gold-stripe gecko (Woodworthia chrysosiretica)

formerly in the lumped genus Hoplodactylus. The gold-stripe gecko is quite variable in colour (hence this individual does not have the gold stripes the species is named for!). Found in the Taranaki region of the western North Island, and also on Mana Island off Wellington, a disjunct population created by predation effects from introduced mammals (rats, cats etc)
