Nice looking exhibit, their enclosure looks modern the way it is vegetated, but the barrier to the left looks like 1960s mid-century architecture. Does anyone on here know when this exhibit was built?

Hi! this exhibit was built in 1975, for the arrival of gorillas Idi and Dada. Since then, the exhibit past throug a few renovations untill getting this nice look it has nowadays. I don't know why they didn't renovate the barriers with fake/cemment rocks, it would look even better, don't you think?
@David Matos Mendes ah thank you for the information. From other photos I have seen, the rocks/boulders in this exhibit look fine to me. How many renovations has this exhibit gone through and what did the previous gorilla exhibit look like if there was one?

This zoo in general has most of it's exhibits with a good size, but all of them are in this modern-ancient mixed style. I hope they renovate it one day to give an even more natural aspect to
For ex: this lion exhibit located in the same zoo has quite a large size (1300 square meters) but also has ancient barrier style
