According to ISIS the zoo now has 6 gorillas (4.2) in this lush, large, amazingly green exhibit. A male ape can be seen resting in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo, and I think that the habitat is close to 2 acres in size. In the zoo's long-range master plan I believe that there is the possibility that the zoo will build a new gorilla exhibit, but the current one is still rather impressive.
This exhibit was built in 1998 I beleive, along with the rest of the Congo area. According to their 2020 master plan the gorillas will be moved to Kenya, in front of the antelope exhibit. I am not sure how this will work, but I'm not optimistic.
One thing I like about both this and the chimpanzee exhibit is the lack of hotwire. Ive seen both species of apes high up in the trees.
