Does anybody know if there are plans to eventually "modernize" the gorilla exhibit to make it more naturalistic and give the gorillas more room? It still seems functional, but quite prehistoric compared to more modern exhibits where visitors can observe the gorillas close-up through windows and from naturalistic perspectives.
In some ways I guess the fact that this exhibit is almost 40 years old and is still adequate speaks well for its design.
