It's funny for me to see this photo as I strongly dislike the Gorilla exhibit at Ouwehands. Lots of awkward indoor viewing via tiny portals, a very narrow enclosure with metal climbing frames, a big ugly entrance...not for me!
@snowleopard Seems like the zoos on the rise in Europe can not really crack the Gorilla code. This building its indeed quite awkward. Mixed of Pairi Daiza Vulcano and Howletts cage. Probably functional for the Primates, but difficult for the public's eye.
