I like this part of Blackpool's enclosure (I know it was previously the Chamois mountain.. ) except the Gorillas are rather a long way away from you because of the moat. In that respect the older parts of the enclosure are better for viewing them. Although this ApeHouse is now very old, the slightly newer 'wing' they built for the Gorillas is surprisingly spacious- not cramped as in so many Ape Houses of that era.
After decades of failure/bad partnerships/infertile males etc, their first-ever baby is due this year. They certainly deserve some success in that direction.
