In direct contrast to the Orangutans, this is one of the better Gorilla enclosures in the UK - this part of it at least. Yet it was originally constructed as a rocky island for a group of Chamois.
Its about time we had some pregnant Gorillas here too...
This is Bukavu and i think Kena who is daughter to the famous white gorilla 'Snowflake' and a twin.Miliki another female gave birth to Mesie on 6/5/10 and for the first 4 months were not allowed onto the island for the baby's safety.
