Note how Asante(foreground) is the furthest from 'Oumbie'. He nearly always seems to rest at that far end of the enclosure. Somehow it looks quite light in here-usually its rather a dark enclosure.
I think she will always be like that, but at least Oumbie has got his 'group' of two normal females now, so there is correspondingly a bit less pressure on Asante as a focus of his attention probably and she can keep in the background more.
For the first time in years Twycross have a single normal(apart from Asante) Gorilla group. I could see them requesting an additional young female to add to this group now. Despite all the past failings that would not be a bad thing now, both for the social structure as well as breeding-wise.
