The new gorilla exhibit utilizes a large amount of hot-wire to prevent the destruction of many visually appealing trees and bushes, keeping the jungle theme alive year round even if the gorilla troop expands.
The tree here, and other plants, are kept alive with the hot-grass and hot-vines as seen in the link below. https://www.totalhabitat.com/installation-guides-hot-grass--hot-vines.html
It should be noted though that these large trees in the Houston exhibit were moved into place a couple of years ago and even if the gorillas are to have access to them at some time in the future, the trees will require several more years to establish themselves in their new location.
I do not know whether the Dublin exhibit included large existing trees.
