Gough Island moorhen

Aviary with green oropendola, Lotherton Hall. Date to be researched further, circa 1996 perhaps. Scanned from a Kodachrome slide, but I would like to get a better scan one day.

How I would loved to have seen that aviary, but sadly I can't (or at least the inhabitants, the aviary might still exist).

It would be interesting to see any 'older' photos of Lotherton, if you have any. :)

If I remember correctly, the aviary was the first brick-built one on the left, next to the hornbills. It is on the left in your recent photo.

I have a few images in the LH Gallery, including one of an oropendola. But they are a little more recent than this one, because they were taken on my first digital Nikon, rather than one of my old 35mm Olympus OM series cameras.

That is interesting thanks; that aviary houses Great Argus and a species of Starling which I can not recall at this moment (Purple Glossy perhaps).

Anyway lovely picture!
