@Jambo They already do, in fact there is one laying down in it in this picture on the right side (it's very hard to see). Here is a better picture by @Chimpangeek: Chimp overhead walkway | ZooChat. The story of why this is happening: the zoos chimps lived solely in three really crappy grottos. These grottos were so bad that the zoos was possibly going to lose its AZA accreditation. To fix this the zoo decided to finally fully use its abandoned Pachyderm building which is across the path from the grottos. The sky trail currently connects to this new indoor playroom which was built inside the Pachyderm building (picture once again by @Chimpangeek): Indoor chimp room | ZooChat. The sky trail will eventually also connect to a new outside area being built alongside the Pachyderm building.
