I am in agreement that the trio of bear exhibits are far too small for their residents. They are by no means bad exhibits and have lots of benefits other bear habitats don’t. Grass, live trees, large pools with a spectacular underwater viewing area and the ability to rotate between multiple exhibits. However, all three exhibits combined add up to less than half an acre and even when compared to older bear exhibits like the ones at Woodland Park and Detroit are absolutely inferior. It is extremely frustrating to look at the original plan for Great Bear Wilderness, which would have seen exhibits three to four times the size of the ones we have today.
