I think the young female 'Asha' who you saw partially in the indoor moat might go fully in as she's smaller and still agile. I reckon those big females just don't trust their huge bulk on the slope/steps though and will never go in. Probably they are too old to learn new behaviour now(?) Its a great shame..
Their horns are never as thin and conical-shaped as in the wild(same with Black rhinos too)- presumably because they have no termite mounds to rub/polish them on?
