Great-tailed Grackle

@WhistlingKite24 It does indeed! Although the large tail can't be seen in this photo, which the currawong is lacking.

Grackles are brash and noisy, are currawongs similar?
 
@WhistlingKite24 The calls the main bird makes are similar to the grackle's, interestingly! I wouldn't have guessed that!

Here's a video with a bunch of grackle calls, most of the background calls during the bathing grackle part is grackles too. And they are every bit as loud as they seem!

 
@birdsandbats Yeah, they're pretty loud and obnoxious! I've never seen Common Grackle, I'll have to look up their calls and see!

Fun fact, 20 years ago grackles actually had only been recorded a couple times in my area. Only within the last ten years has the species actually become regular. It was last year we finally managed to confirm breeding, and they are present almost year round now.
