Greater Mouse-Deer (Tragulus napu rufulus)

As per Pierre de Chabannes of 'Pierre Wildlife', this subspecies can be differentiated from the nominate form that is native to Singapore's western catchment & northern islands, from the more orange-rufous fur colour and dark facial streaks.

This particular form of Tragulus napu is indigenous to the Riau archipelago and surprisingly, Tioman island off the east coast of Pahang state.
