Apparently both are held in the same hall, I have no clue how to tell the difference but the Miombo is a great rarity and im very much hoping that the bird in my photo is said species
Currently, BirdLife international treats both of those as subspecies of the same species, so it's logical they're very hard to distuingish.
This is what Birds of the World has to say about it;
''Races sometimes treated as two distinct species, based mainly on notably more rufous underparts of juveniles (adults almost indistinguishable, and their call notes likewise). '' ... '' Race elisabeth adult is very like nominate but somewhat less bright green,''
Since glossy starling's colouration is also very much affected by light conditions, I would say it is simply impossible to ID this bird to subspecies level.
