This aviary held green-winged macaws (Ara chloroptera) and a pair of purple swamphens (Porphyrio porphyrio). This aviary was oké in terms of size and a little bit better in terms of furnishing than the previous one, but could be better in terms of enrichment for birds like macaws. The purple swamphens only had a bowl in terms of water and for a wetland bird this aviary isn't at all suitable. The purple swamphens should be moved to another aviary soon, preferably one with water (like the walk-through aviaries or one of the aviaries in the crane area).
