Thankfully, Argentinia's zoos seem now more serious about maintaining and breeding their nativos deer species!
I really, really .... would like to see one zoo take up the andino cervids like the huemul and give them more prominence over the ever prevalent - thanks to hunting fraternity interests - flood of red and assorted other exoticos ... deer -!
Yes, the grey brockets had this lovely exhibit which shows the part of the forested area of the mendocino area. Of course, mendoza zoo also had red deer and fallow deer. It is interesting that the grey brockets in the argentine zoos were always kept in pairs. I promise that there is a review of the Mendoza zoo coming soon.
