Just a few comments about my photos from the Beekse Bergen that I started to post today.
When I made these photos I had only just gotten my new telelens and I put it to its first test in what is pretty much the most challenging zoo around here to do so. It was also very busy in the park that day and I was low on energy as well as not feeling great at the time. For these reasons my photos didn't turn out very well that day - in fact my photographic results at the Beekse Bergen were rather poor and disappointing, even more so than I had expected.
As a result the quality of some of the photos posted in this overview will be lower than you ladies and gentlemen are used to based on my usual standard - and I did try to filter these out as much as I could. I also was not able to get a complete overview of all exhibits, especially those that are part of the vehicle safaris I was not able to photograph for the most part. I offer you my most sincere apologies for this and I assure you I still did the very best I could, but it just wasn't in my opinion truly good enough.
With regards to the use of my new telelens things did improve substantially during my 21st of September visit to Antwerp and my October two-day visit to Pairi Daiza. However during my visit to Planckendael today it was again less good, perhaps due not having done photography since Pairi Daiza or difficulty adapting to winter conditions. That said, it is clear to me that I still need more exercise with the telelens.
