Thanks Terry! Was a good day for geese with all the youngsters from this year now flying around and I was luckily in the right place as they moved across the reserve from one side to another.
I also noticed some of the geese had black nails on their feet and some had white nails, not something I have observed before and guessed it was something to do with their age? White fronted geese have nails that turn colour as they age I've read, so thought Greylags might be the same. Don't see their feet that much but seeing them close up in flight you get a good view!
