Zoo Antwerpen currently keeps hybrid giraffes that cannot be used within the breeding programs for the different subspecies. Of their three current giraffes two look most like Rothschild's/Nubian giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis camelopardalis), one most like a reticulated giraffe (G. reticulata).
