Harbor seals, sea otters, cormorants, common murres, and other species live right off the deck of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In the winter and early spring grey whales can sometimes be seen. Aquarium staff are usually out on the deck with binoculars and telescopes to help visitors see the wild species.
