harris hawks supplantin

February 4, 2019
I meant supplanting with a g on the end. This is during the raptor free flight demonstration, which shows that Harris' hawks hunt as groups (apparently the only raptors to do so). When a higher ranking bird (on left) wants a perch they supplant (replace) the lower ranking bird (on right). There were a total of five hawks flying at the same time during the demonstration.
