Heck's Macaque ?

The enclosure is set back a long way from the Woodland Walk . To the rear of the Mansion where there are also Quarantine cages . Many years ago you could wander along these paths .

I think its a Heck's. I fear they may become like the Golden Mangabeys- imported with a fanfare and then nothing much happens with them.

Considering the Golden Mangabeys at Port Lympne are at least still onshow.....

Quite right. Importing a pair of animals is all very well, but we all know that it's going to take more than that to establish a new species in the UK - particularly as there are no animals in Europe.
