Monty and Chris are 4 year old common cranes from the Great Crane Reintroduction Project. I had just spotted Chris on their nest (because she stood up) when I spotted a big goose flying in at low level.
But it was not a goose, it was Monty arriving to take his turn at incubating. Slimbridge WWT, 12th May 2014
