Yes, but of course with the Calgary winters the hippos must spend weeks upon weeks inside. The indoor underwater viewing of the pool actually makes this one of the best hippo pools in North America, but because of the cold it's tough to rank the exhibit. In the summer it is awesome, and in the winter there is definitely a limited amount of space.
