This features in the giraffe house. It is quite coruscating in its criticism of what Berlin Zoo has done in the past, in relation to the treatment of Jewish shareholders in particular. The openness and honesty on display is striking. There is also a very critical response to the 19th century (and 20th sentry too actually) practice of displaying “tribal“ people. Even the way in which the management of the Tierpark were treated when the two zoos combined post-unification is raised.
