@StellarChaser It originally opened in 1966 and when I saw it in 2010 the Hixon Bird House was looking a little unloved and rough around the edges. The dozen or so aviaries are not the largest, and I wasn't that impressed to be honest. However, there was a renovation done in 2022 that improved the exterior and hopefully there was also an overhaul of some of the aviaries.
