From what I remember they are about the same height, but i am not sure. Due to the size of the park, and the many interesting species, the crane area had drawn the short straw the two times i have been there.
When I saw Hooded Cranes (for the first and only time at Walsrode), I remember them being smaller than I expected. I was expecting something like a Japanese Crane, but they're actually more like a smallish Common Crane, maybe slightly shorter than a Crowned Crane.
