Huayangosaurus taibaii Skull, Holotype (IVPP V6728)

Fossil Reptile and Bird Hall, Second Floor, August 21, 2024.
The holotype skull of Huayangosaurus taibaii, a stegosaurian dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic of Sichuan, China. It contains a complete skull, three neck vertebrae, three back vertebrae, four sacral vertebrae, twenty tail vertebrae, two metatarsals, three phalanges, three plates, a spike and three further osteoderms. I was lucky to photograph the skull minutes before it was retreived by three IVPP staff for research.
