Hubbs' beaked whale (Mesoplodon carlhubbsi) skeleton in the Science "B" building at Humboldt State University (in Arcata, California, U.S.A.) - 4/25/2019
I was on a campus tour and when we went into the Science "B" building we ran into this fellow. Apparently this individual washed up on the shores of Humboldt County and died. His body was taken to Humboldt State where it was determined he had accidentally beached himself due to problems with his hearing (I don't remember the exact prognosis).
