Interior of hummingbird/tanager aviary.

what species are currently held in this aviary? Is this where all of the south american passerines are housed?

This house has Emerald Hummingbird (Amazilia amazilia), Opal-rumped Tanager (Tangara velia) Burnished-buff Tanager (Tangara cayana) and Blue Dacnis (Dacnis cayana). There are more neotropical passerines in the tropical house (which is in four sections - a corridor of aviary species, a mixed free-flight area, the 'under construction' Pantanal and finally the wonderful Philippine hall).

Since 3-2013, this house also holds 2,1 White-chinned sapphires and 1,2 Fork-tailed woodnymph. Both species are housed nowhere else in Europe.
