You just put that up to annoy me...:D So they still have the group at Howletts then, though I believe its single sex now.

Not sure of the gender, but there appeared to be four wolves, in a large enclosure at the far end of the park (from the entrance). I was there early in the morning and they were active off and on. That is to say they would lay down in the far corner, then get up and run the entire exhibit, then lay down, etc.

I should obviously have done that too- will do the next time if they haven't been sent away.;)

According to Zootierliste they are present in 4/5 English Zoos. How many are kept? Do they usually breed?

1. Howletts bred more than one litter I think. Some were then transferred to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. These have since been sent back to Spain to join a reintroduction scheme. The remaining ones at Howletts(about 4) are a single sex group I was told.

2.) Woburn also received a pair, at least one was from Howletts- other from Europe? These have also bred at least once.

3 1.4(?) from Woburn were transferred to a new exhibit at Blackpool Zoo-they have not bred yet. I believe Woburn still have the remainder?

4. Dartmoor Wildlife Park have some too- not sure which of the above sources they came from, or the number or sexes. They have not bred yet afaik.

I don't know of anywhere else in UK that has them (yet).
