Absolutely flummoxed as to what these could be. Some sort of crane, stork, swan?

Pelicans for sure, I would say Pink-backed althroughZootierliste doesn't mention Chessington as a keeper of the species.

I hadn't thought of pelicans actually. I did look through Zootierliste and nothing that could be these birds showed up.

I'll try a quick google!

Okay thanks. I'm now thinking the same since they were in the Africa section of the zoo.

Could they be Dalmatian Pelicans either?
