Illustrations of Desert pupfish (Cyprinodon macularius) on a water tank

I shared this photograph I took in a Facebook group I belong to called Zoo Art and here is what I had to say about this;

"Again, not at a zoo, but I want to share with all of you here the illustrations of Desert pupfish (Cyprinodon macularius) on this water tank at Tumamoc Hill. Knowing that certain zoos (Ie Living Desert, Phoenix Zoo, and Arizona Sonora Desert Museum) have kept and bred Desert pupfish, I thought it was a nice piece of artwork worth sharing here."

@Onychorhynchus coronatus I totally agree. I would like to see them re-painted on the water tank. Hell, I would like to see a series of illustrations showcasing different fish taxa native to the Sonoran Desert region including not just Desert pupfish, but also Yaqui catfish (Ictalurus pricei), Gila topminnow (Poeciliopsis occidentalis), Yaqui sucker (Catostomus benardini) etc.

I am wondering if Desert pupfish were actually housed in this water tank. Considering the amount of scientific research done at Tumamoc Hill and considering the fact that the University of Arizona has research facilities (which include natural history collections) on Tumamoc Hill, I would not be surprised if Desert pupfish were actually kept and bred inside that tank.
