A species which - strangely enough - I had never seen prior to my visit to Germany, despite being relatively common in captive collections and in private hands.
I took this photograph of one of the animals displaying in a defensive posture as a result of the fact there was a young porcupine in the enclosure which was startled by our presence, leading the adults to react accordingly.
