The male is older than 10 years and i personally think it's hips point it. Before those animals,
specimens of the 'Berlin tierpark' bloodline were presented as indian lions, but we know today, that they weren pure indian.
While watching the current lions i still do have doubts about their status when i remember the old lions in Zürich zoo which once back in the 90s were presented as the only pure-bred indian lions in europe.
