Indian porcupine

Axe Valley, 12th May 2021.
Hystrix indica according to the label. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the crested porcupine species?
I don't usually think about Shakespeare when I'm at a zoo, but this one rattled at the other with raised quills and the words 'fretful porpentine' came into my head. But the he or she climbed onto this log and stayed completely still. 'Like Patience on a monument', I thought.

I think African crested have generally more white quills on the crest, although don’t quote me on that:)
