Indian Rhino - Is it a youngster?

Indian Rhino, january 2017. It seemed like a mother and a 1y younster, but have they bred? On the other side there two full frown indians, m and f.

The youngster / calf should be the Stuttgart born female (2014, arrived in December 2016). The other adult female is either Teja (the older Antwerpen born 1992 female) or female Nova (born in Dvur in 1997).

Something really has got to give with breeding Indian rhinos at Zoo do Lisboa. They have been trying for years and only managed stillbirth upon stillbirth. It seems puzzling that somehow both compatibility and genetic issues are a cause for concern.

Change of bulls would make far more sense than bringing in more females that will linger for another decade.
 
Youre probably right. That age corrects with her size.

I hve no idea whats it is going on ... the only thing i caan say is that the other two (on the southern pen) were bigger and the male were very interested in the female even thought she was not showing any interest.
