Do you know why the female died? About the new female, I believe she will arrive from Oklahoma City Zoo.

the female died because she ate sand which compacted in her gut. no one was aware that Kua was actually pregnant at the time, she was very, very young so the zoo, rightly, thought she was gaining weight and so modified her diet. it is unclear whether this prompted her to eat the sand, sadly it wasnt until the autopsy that it was established she was carrying a fouetus.
