Indoor nocturnal house at Blackpool Zoo 15/01/12

Home to red titi's, dwarf mongoose, hornbills, pigeons, marmosets and also turaco.
None of these species are nocturnal.

I've seen dwarf mongoose in a nocturnal house, they were just as active as they are in a diurnal exhibit. I agree that the others shouldn't be exhibited like that though.

None of these species are nocturnal. Is this a former nocturnal house that has been converted into a small mammal/bird house?

Certainly the house is not on reverse lighting - they're just normal small mammal/bird exhibits.

That's correct, none are actually nocturnal. I was told that it was just the name given to the building. I would like to see rarer species in there rather than your normal Pygmy Marmosets, Speckled Pigeons, etc.
