Sign says these are the sixth or seventh pair of blue whale ribs, about 3.3 meters tall, dating back to between 1910 and 1930, based on the de-greased bone structure having spent an extended period outdoors. They were found by a German adventurer on Subantarctic Bouvet Island on April 15th, 1960.
