It is a bit shocking but at the same time quite wonderful to see this photograph. Tourists can see that the Kenyan government is serious about the war on ivory poaching, although hopefully this image is not merely a symbolic gesture.
This display did make a very powerful impression.
The area is also an official picnic site (so one of the few places where you can get out of your vehicle).
