Audubon Zoo certainly immerses visitors in specific environments, whether it is a Louisiana Swamp or a Mayan jungle. The jaguar exhibit is a good example of the "abandoned ruins" theme.

Woodland Park and Jacksonville are regarded as the two best zoos in the nation for jaguars, and Audubon cannot compare to those institutions in terms of this particular enclosure. The Audubon exhibit is actually very similar to the one found at Palm Beach Zoo, Florida, as both utilize tall columns as fencing units.
