Japanese Macaque, 2017

I don’t recall Cincinnati ever having macaques, where was their exhibit?

When I visited the zoo in 2008, the Japanese Macaque exhibit was directly next to the Reptile House. You can see it on my map:

@snowleopard Thanks, it’s crazy I have no memory of it whatsoever. To think I can recall the entire zoo but that exhibit bamboozles me.

@USZOOfan42 the area was renovated in 2018 for bald eagles and Galapagos tortoises which is maybe why you don't remember it? Not the best enclosure for the species but were a much loved animal so hope maybe one day they could see a return to the zoo.

@Jonathan Petersson I have visited 4 times before 2018, and 2 times after. Were the bald eagles and tortoises elsewhere in the zoo?
