This exhibit was built in 1960 and 55 years later it is still relatively spacious and enticing for zoo visitors. Japanese macaques are making a bit of a comeback in recent years, with new exhibits to open at Lincoln Park and Minnesota as well as a brand-new habitat at Great Plains Zoo in South Dakota.
