This looks like a really nice, modern, set-up, are all the primate enclosures aviary-style like the one in the photo, or are there some islands on the lake for primates too?

I would really like to see woolly monkeys.

In this lake there arent any islands due to handling and security issues, and that there is no space to have managment facilities. But there is one monkey island with all the management facilities for ruffed lemurs and another for ring tailed lemurs

I'm surprised you didn't see any woolly monkeys on your big zoo trip.

According to zootierliste there are eight European zoos with woolly monkeys, but I didn't visit any of them. Might have to organise a trip to Colombia :D

is that all?! I always imagine Europe to be bristling with woolly monkeys! (But then I did grow up on books about Twycross and Cornwall's Woolly Monkey Sanctuary)....

You should go to Colombia. See some pacaranas while you're there.

And only two have individuals identifiable to species level, which seems weird (unless there has been a major change in woolly monkey taxonomy recently?).

Pacaranas would be very cool too, obviously I didn't see any of them in Europe either...:(

yes, there has. All (or most?) of the subspecies got split into full species, which because it's based largely on range makes it difficult to know what species any given animal is......
