Please please please somebody in Earth know what kind of jellies are these? In Pairi Daiza they have the same (unsigned) and in identical exhibit it seems: a cylinder of flowing water with a mirror column inside for "duplicate" the number of jellies, and they probably are a deep sea species impossible to keep alive, hence the water current makes they move and look like as they are alive. But I didn't found nothing remotedly similar in any jellyfish family nor in jellyfish-like groups of other cnidarians!
I mean, the jellies (both the ones directly seen at Pairi Daiza and the ones shown in this image in the Eiffel tower aquarium) looks like almost sure dead preserved specimens, floating in formol or another preservation liquid. A flow current of water inside the cylinders make they "swim" and be constantly moving (not pulsating umbrella as in alive jellies, just moving in the flow direction), so the usual visitor can think that they are alive because they don't stop moving.
@Kakapo I got the info when I visited the park and I saw them, we could say by the "logic" that real animals don´t have plastic (well, or silicon or any other material) mechanism with LED lights inside them . But I´m pretty sure won´t be difficult to find more info on google, maybe even are for sale somewhere.
@ThylacineAlive It is! XD I don´t understand why they have this fake animals on show when the park have so many real stuff like the mineral collection around. And when they have many real jellyfish too. Maybe are a replica from some real species impossible to keep in captivity, but the exhibit didn´t have any explanation either.
Hm. I didn't saw LED lights in my visit nor nothing similar, maybe I just didn't paid enough attention. But once confirmed this info, it's clear that I will go to delete my photo from my files.
