There are two underwater tunnel areas adjacent to each other and it is a bit confusing, due to the immersive experience, as at first I wasn't sure what animals were in which pool...which means that the design team has done their job! The Polar Bear in this photo is looking at me from his pool, but he is NOT in the water surrounding the tunnel in this image. How cool is that? There is a Harbour Seal exhibit that appears to seamlessly merge into the Polar Bear exhibit and the bears can look through their viewing window and across into the seal habitat. Detroit Zoo has a very similar setup and the experience is fantastic in both examples.
