This wins in a tie for the greatest bonobo exhibit in the United States with Cincinnati's. Yes, this wins in breeding, climbing structures, and size (12,000 sq. ft. more), but loses in naturalness.. At Cincinnati's in the award winning Jungle Trails it gives the perfect rainforest feel and barely allows sunlight to pass through the exhibit. Their indoor exhibit even tries to be as natural looking as possible while Columbus's is a children's playground. Despite their differences, both Bonobo residents show the same active behavior.
